Morgan appeared in a documentary film Safe Sex for Men and Women on AIDS prevention and education. The proceeds from the film were given to American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan has been involved in numerous fundraising initiatives for the illness and has been a witness to a Congressional Special Committee regarding AIDS Education. Morgan is also a member of the Board of Directors for Amfar as well as the board of Governors of APLA. Former Surgeon-General C. Everett Koop has requested her to be his substitute in AIDS occasions and has been the host of an AIDS Awareness Special with news anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell interviewed Morgan twice for Nightline about AIDS. Morgan was awarded the Emmy Award in Diane English's special Murphy Brown episode that was made specifically for Morgan. She co-starred in the ABC TV series Your Money or Your Wife alongside Joan Rivers. This summer's premiere was Murder At The PTA Luncheon. The film was produced Von Zerneck/Sertner, and also included Cindy Williams & Marla Gibbs. Morgan then appeared in Harmony Gold's production Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady that starred Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan played the lead in a psychological thriller which was solely produced for the USA Network. It received one of the best ratings ever recorded by the network.
