Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26th, 1991) is better known under her real moniker Ari Lennox is an American artist and singer hailing born in Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist signed to J. Cole's record label Dreamville Records. Her first single was released on the label on October 21 2016 titled Pho where she gained fame. Shea Butter Baby her debut album was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox first uploaded songs online in the year 2012. The singer released her debut album Ariography and debut mixtape in 2013 with Five Finger Discount. In 2014 Ari Lennox released her single Bound, as well as the mixtape she self-released, Five Finger Discount. Sweat It is included on Omen's Elephant Eyes album on July 21, 2015. J. Cole was interested in her talents and was keen to collaborate with Rihanna. In December 2008, it was revealed that Rihanna had signed by Dreamville Records. Backseat was a track she recorded with Cozz on the album collaboratively titled Revenge of the Dreamers II. On October 21 2016 she dropped her debut EP called Pho. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's hit song Change and was an opening act for the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in 2017. In 2018, she appeared in two tracks, including EarthGang's Nothing but the Best song as well as Bas's Icarus. Ari Lennox's debut album Shea Butter Baby was released on 16 July 2018. The debut single, Whipped Cream of the album dropped on the 5th of September, 2018 and featured a the music video. On the 9th of November, she released another two singles called 40 Shades of Choke (and Grampa). On the 13th of November, two brand new singles, titled The No One and pedigree. Then she appeared in the Creed II soundtrack with Cole on the track Shea Butter Baby on November 16 and released as a single in February 2019 for her debut album of the same name. The music video premiered 20 February 2019 in order in conjunction with the song. Within one week, it had over 3 million views. She was the supporting act for 6LACK during the From East Atlanta With Love Tour in December of 2018.
